“Think differently,” bring down the “totems”… The CFDT leader’s strong recommendations to Sébastien Lecornu

Sébastien Lecornu will have to "think differently" from his predecessor at Matignon when it comes to constructing the budget, said CFDT Secretary General Marylise Léon on Thursday, September 11, calling for "fiscal and social justice" measures.
"If the totems and dogmas remain on the government's side, nothing will move forward," warned Marylise Léon on France Inter , while Sébastien Lecornu promised "breaks" in both substance and form when he took office on Wednesday.
"The speeches about changing methods, "This vote obliges me," I think everyone has in mind these types of phrases that can be uttered. It's not that I don't believe it, it's that I'm going to judge on the evidence."
According to her, the new Prime Minister has already spoken with the union leader during a "very brief initial contact exchange" and "told her that we would see each other soon" .

Before the inter-union mobilization of September 18, the "main message that workers expect" is "respect the world of work" and "make sure that, if there are efforts to be made, they are fairly shared" , she said, referring in particular to the "conditionality of public aid" to companies.
Appeal to employersThe union leader also spoke about the budget, calling on everyone to take "their responsibilities." "Is everyone ready to take responsibility and assume them? I think the question should first be sent to the employers," she said.
